We offer this service for cats only.
Our low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is run once per week. The appointment MUST be scheduled in advance with your payment in full. Because a rabies vaccination is REQUIRED by NY State law, if your cat does not have a current rabies vaccination, you must pay for one in addition to the spay or neuter fee. If your cat does have a current rabies vaccine, we must have a copy of the rabies certificate at the time of payment in order to book the spay/neuter appointment: You may fax the rabies certificate to us at (607) 239-6551, or scan it and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or take a photo of it with your phone or tablet and email it to us at email@example.com. You can schedule that appointment by paying online with Paypal, or by coming into ACC adoption center during open hours with cash or a money order in the exact amount. If you do pay by Paypal, you will be asked for your phone number when adding an item to the cart so that we can call you to complete the appointment-booking process by phone. If you pay on a day the adoption center is not open for business, you will recieve a call on our next open day.
Our surgeries are performed by a local licensed veterinarian, who is assisted by our licensed Vet Tech. You must bring your cat into the Clinic in the morning (7:30-8:15 AM), and pick your cat up in the afternoon (3-5 PM) of the same day. We recommend that you spay/neuter your cat at 4-6 months of age and they must weigh at least 4 lbs.
Please note: We do not have a vet on staff, so we DO NOT offer any emergency or regular veterinary care. The only time we offer vaccinations is when you bring your cat in for her/his scheduled spay/neuter appointment. We only do a certain number of surgeries per week, so we are often booking several weeks ahead, sometimes as far out as 4-8 weeks from the date you make your payment.
